MAS Refresh 8

This is going to be a brief overview of the most recent refresh to the MAS Solicitation, refresh #8. GSA didn’t make the contents of this refresh overly public or easy to access- we had to do a little digging as we were given no heads up that a refresh was even coming out. If you are in the dark as to the nature of this refresh, you are not alone! Hopefully we can clear up any gray areas for anyone whose feeling caught off guard or a little confused!

Broadly, Refresh 8 incorporates the requirement to have all GSA contract holders and staff vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 8, 2021. This also mandates a number of safety protocols which will need to be implemented, and include the following:

• COVID-19 vaccination of covered contractor employees, except in limited circumstances where an employee is legally entitled to an accommodation

• Compliance by individuals, including covered contractor employees and visitors, with the Guidance related to masking and physical distancing while in covered contractor workplaces; and

• Designation by covered contractors of a person or persons to coordinate COVID-19 workplace safety efforts at covered contractor workplaces.
